~ Hawthorn Berry, Leaf & Flower Tea ~
A simple blend made from hawthorn berries, leaves and flowers, gathered from local hedgerows and gardens with great care and respect. Some of the plants used in these blends are foraged by hand, while others are grown in my own garden. Foraging has been a passion of mine for many years, and every plant is harvested thoughtfully, sustainably and with gratitude for the land that provides it.
Hawthorn has long been known as the tree of the heart. In folklore it is associated with the old pathways between worlds, the fair folk, Beltane, protection, love and the opening of the heart. It is a tree that stands at thresholds, reminding us of both tenderness and resilience.
This tea is one I often reach for when life feels full, when the heart feels heavy, or when I simply want to slow down and reconnect with myself. Its flavour is gentle, earthy and slightly fruity, and it pairs beautifully with a little honey and lemon.
⸙ To Prepare ⸙
Add 1–2 teaspoons (or generous pinches) per person to a tea strainer or teapot. Pour over freshly boiled water and allow to infuse for 10–15 minutes.
Enjoy as it is, or with honey and lemon.
