Seasonal Foraging Workshop with Laurie - BACK SPRING 2025
Join Laurie for a morning at The Barn Temple.
Together we will walk the lands & we will discover the abundance of plants that are growing around us.
This is an opportunity for you to connect to the land & to the plants that our ancestors have used for thousands of years.
Laurie will teach you the folklore, medicinal properties & ways to use the plants so that you can create healing teas, oils, balms, tinctures & more for your family & friends.
Please bring foraging baskets if you wish & perhaps a notepad if you like to take notes.
We will gather at The Barn Temple between 9:45 & 9:55am ready for a prompt start at 10am.
The walk will take approximately 1 hour & we will return to the barn temple afterwards to create your own tea blend using locally foraged herbs. This will be an opportunity to learn more about ways in which to use the plants & how to dry them & create your own medicinal products at home.
This walk is suitable for all, including children aged 6+. Please note, there is a river nearby and we will be walking alongside it for some or our walk. It is solely your responsibility to ensure the safety of your children during this workshop.
Ticket cost is per person.
***Please note:
Whilst Laurie has over 8 years worth of experience in foraging & working with native plants, she does not have any qualifications around this work. Laurie's working with the plants has been a journey of profound healing for her and her family.
Laurie's belief is that the teachings of the plants was once forbidden in being told. It is our right to remember this knowledge & wisdom so that we can best serve ourselves & create connection again.
If you choose to participate in this workshop, we ask that you do so knowing you are fully responsible when it comes to harvesting & using the plants. Laurie will bring to your awareness what is available to us and ways in which we can use them, she will all mindfully teach you the safety around foraging & using the plants, but she is in no way responsible for anything you choose to forage.***
