Step into a space of stillness, movement, and deep self-connection with The Reflective Flow. This 90-minute class offers a sanctuary from the demands of daily life, inviting you to return to your body, mind, and soul through a practice rooted in somatic awareness, breathwork, movement, and reflection.

 At its core, The Reflective Flow is a somatic experience - an opportunity to drop out of the mind and into the body, to listen inwardly and move with intention. Whether you’re seeking restoration, clarity, or simply a space to breathe, this class is an invitation to soften, to feel, and to honour yourself exactly as you are.

 

Why Somatics?

Somatics is about coming home to yourself - learning to move, breathe, and exist in your body with awareness and compassion. There are no expectations for how you should move or what your experience should be. Everything in this class is an invitation.

Simply showing up is a powerful act of self-care. If that’s all you manage, know that it is enough. Step by step, at your own pace, we’ll celebrate every part of your journey.

 

 What to Expect

 Guided by Laurie, each session follows the rhythms of the seasons, the moon, and your own inner cycles, blending:

 

🌿 Pranayama (breathwork) & Meditation – Ground yourself with breath and an empowering affirmation.

🌀 Embodied Hatha Flow & restorative holds – Gentle, fluid movements that support your body’s needs, accessible for all abilities.

🎶 Poetry & Reflection – Words woven into the practice to inspire and uplift.

🤲 Explore mudras - deepen an understanding behind mudras - sacred seals of the hands. 

📖 Journaling & Self-Discovery – Dedicated time to reflect, write, and reconnect with your soul self.

📅 When: Wednesdays, 7:00–8:30 PM

📍 Where: The Barn Temple, Dodleston 

💰 Investment:

➡ £12 drop-in / £16 drop-in to include the Embodied flow | £40 monthly pass (other passes available). 

 🧘 Props Provided: Mats, bolsters, and blankets for your comfort.

📖 What to Bring: A journal & pen for reflective journaling, and comfortable clothing for movement and breathwork.

As you pull into The Meadows, please bear right and park in the main car park. Walk around to the front of the building (The Meadows), and you’ll find the front door open. Once inside, turn right, walk along the corridor, go through the door and up the stairs - you’ll find our temple space at the top.

 

Meet Your Guide

 

Laurie is a trauma-informed yoga teacher, energy healer, and holistic practitioner with years of dedicated training and experience. Her approach is heart-led, intuitive, and deeply rooted in feminine wisdom, Celtic traditions, and earth-based healing practices.

Love this class

I have been attending this session most weeks for around 6 months now, and I can't recommend it enough. It really calms my mind and helps me to stay grounded. I have tried yoga before this class, but I never stuck with it, but since coming to Laurie's classes I have noticed myself progressing, and I love it more every single class!

Gentle flowing Yoga

A lovely gentle evening class, which leaves you refreshed and more flexible! It's a welcoming, friendly group, and Laurie produces fantastic sequences and movements for all ability levels. It's great for the mind and soul as well as the body.

Quiet Miracles, Week After Week

The Reflective Flow is my favourite class. It’s not just nourishing, it’s good for the soul. I’ve been going for three months now, and it’s become a part of my week I genuinely rely on. I’ve practiced yoga at home and in various classes over the last 15 years, but Laurie is truly the best teacher I’ve ever had. Her calm, intuitive guidance and the beautiful, grounding environment she’s created make this class unlike anything else.

I’ve found myself so deeply dropped into the flow that my overactive brain actually quietens, which feels like a small miracle. Time melts away. There’s a rare stillness that settles in, and I always leave feeling calmer, clearer and more connected.

I used to combine my own yoga practice, with Pilates and a monthly massage, but since starting this class, I’ve let the massage go. The Reflective Flow has done more for my shoulder pain, tension headaches and jaw tightness than any treatment I’ve tried. The combination of breathwork, movement and reflection is deeply healing in ways I didn’t expect.

This class is a weekly reset, a return to myself, and something I now truly depend on.
